Godly.
Best track 2006.
In all honesty your stuff in 2009 is pretty kewl and whatnot.
0:01 to 0:30 sounds especially awesome, if you had something similar to that in a darker sound then it could make a really good sounding stompy EBM track if you also had the Industrial vocal-work to go with it.
Overall and Enjoyable listen, everything sounded clean and crisp. All the rythems worked and the sounds crafted/patches used fit well :)
An enjoyable listen, very nice! The kick was nice and stompy and with the softer leads, it felt dream-like in a sense, like having a rave in your dreams.
Mastering-wise, it came out nice and clear, tight & everything pretty much EQ'ed perfectly.
I might have to subscribe and be a fan :3
ah thanks ! =) im happy you like it ..
I do like how clean it sounds and the main lead does sound pretty cool.
Like Zafrece said, the lead was slightly 'all-over-the-place' but that doesn't mean it's bad. I would just consider having the lead sync into the beat more... if you know what I mean :3
Not bad at all.
I can identify a beat, or maybe it's morphing between different timings underneath the track. I can appreciate the complexity in the track itself. The backing FX (the airy clanging) does work nicely.
What kind of grinds my gears in this is the bass-note which first appears around 0:20 and then repeats itself every 14-15 seconds or so. It sounds too intense for the track in all honesty. If it was quieter, it would sound better (in my opinion at least).
Overall, a pretty kewl experiment :)
Thanks for your review.^^
You could potentially pull off quite alot since you own Nexus. I would actually say stick to what you are currently doing, but you need to boost your Kicks and your leads to be louder and punchier. I think this would sound better if it was widened some more and you you made the piano more atmospheric with some deeper reverb and if you used only used half-as many notes. The Piano could sound great, but it's being played at the same velocity at the start too many times.
Experiment with other genres, it's helpful. Trust me, I went through a phase myself where I was doing some of everything and I had no clue. Then I fell in love with the whole EBM/Aggrotech Industrial sound after stumbling upon it one day :P
I'm going to subscribe to you as a fan here and on your new Soundcloud page since I do want to hear how your tracks will morph over time with practise and different structuring :)
Thanks for the review, first of all! It's always nice getting these, no matter what they say.
I hear you, those end up being drowned out sometimes, and since those are pretty big factors in trance, I should keep a look out for them more! I'll definitely keep this in mind next time I try out trance again.
I've been thinking of experimenting more too. I contemplated touching drumstep and trap. Guess you gotta throw yourself in before you can really make some good quality stuff!
I really appreciate it dude! I know it'll be a while before I get really good, but the vote of encouragement really helps a lot. It truly means a lot to me <3
